Best Bun Bo Hue I've ever had! Really enjoyed this meal! Hands down highly recommend!
This was the most legit bowl of bun bo hue I've ever had. You might want to take that with a grain of salt as I am not Vietnamese. Still, I loved how it came with a side of shrimp paste and sambal, and the bowl was loaded with toppings, all with different textures. I thought the pork patty was especially good. One small bowl ended up feeding me twice!
I've never had a bad experience here! They're always super busy and the restaurant doesn't have much in the way of exciting decor, but the food here speaks for itself. Their broth is among the best I've ever had when the side paste & chili oil are added in. The meat is always very tender and flavorful. Their cha lua is some of my favorite as well.
This is one of the places in San Jose that I'm always excited to go to & introduce new people to!

I can see why this place is popular! Their bun had such good flavor and the amount of meat they give is a lot! I really enjoyed every bite of my noodles. The broth was sweet and spicy, so comforting! I do think it's a bit pricey for a large, about $18.

I recommend putting some of that shrimp paste and chili to adjust the flavor to your liking.
It's a viet styled restaurant and you can tell that it's gonna be good. It's very lively with a lot of people and vietnamese everywhere ahahaha. The food got out really fast but there was almost never any checkup or water refills.
The plaza is good too with a coffee place and viet town near by as well.
Whenever I crave Bun Bo Hue and my parents don't make it I come here.
They only take debit/cash for some reason so heads up there.
Another great recommendation from a friend. There are so many Vietnamese places to eat out here that I feel like you can't go wrong. The BBH here is better than most of the places back home for me. The flavor of the broth is great, and the quantity is also generous (maybe twice as much as what I'm used to). I also ordered a side of meat, not knowing how much protein was in the bowl. They have some fresh chili that you can add to make it spicier. One thing to remember that they only take cash or debit card (no credit cards).
amazing quality! had never been disappointed out of the 6 times i ate the classic bun bo hue dish. the service is quick and the staff are friendly. the restaurant itself is clean and i would just 100% recommend to go if u have never tried this restaurant before.
